Born and raised in Northern Virginia, Joey Zabel has been immersed in the pool industry since childhood. He started as a pool boy, working alongside his father in the family pool business, where he learned the trade from the ground up. Over the years, he grew from pool boy to pool man, developing the expertise and dedication that now define Great Falls Pools.
Joey pursued his education at Virginia Tech for his undergraduate degree and later earned his graduate degree from George Mason University. While his academic background broadened his skills, his passion has always remained in delivering high-quality pool maintenance, renovation, and construction services to homeowners throughout the Greater Washington, DC area.
Beyond his work in the pool industry, Joey is deeply committed to making a difference in the community. He proudly serves on the board of Arise & Flourish, a nonprofit organization dedicated to educating DC-area students about the cycle of addiction. He is also the co-owner and CEO of New Paradigm Recovery, an outpatient addiction treatment center in Northern Virginia, where he helps individuals and families navigate the path to recovery.
Through his leadership at Great Falls Pools, Joey continues his family’s legacy of excellence while combining his passion for service, craftsmanship, and community impact.

Joey couldn’t wait to introduce his newborn sun to the pool business. Someone call the Guinness Book of Records- this might be the youngest pool boy ever!
